Sounds of Jamaica

June 27th is when we leave for our next Jamaica trip. Eric and I love the sounds of Jamaica at night! Maybe it because the last time we set foot in Jamaica was our honeymoon, but that trip is what we compare everything else too. Here are the things we want when we travel (in no particular order):

1. Beach
2. Lush Vegetation
3. Nice resort and amenities
4. Jamaica Sounds

This last one is the one that confuses most people. They don't understand what a Jamaica sound is. During our last trip to Couples Negril we were bombarded with these nature sounds. After a night or so we came to really enjoy them and look forward to the whole "Jamaica feel" of the night. So at last, here is your very own taste of a Jamaica night sound. Enjoy, sit back and dream of warm sunny beaches, lush vegetation and the perfect get-away!

2nd Anniversary

Tuesday was our 2nd anniversary and we had a great day! Unlike my day 2 years ago, I was still in school this year when the 3rd came around. Eric surprised me with a delivery of flowers at school containing 2 lavender roses in a beautiful bouquet. Light purple flowers are my newest favorite. When I got home Tuesday from school I had a scavenger hunt with clue waiting for Eric. His first clue took him to a bench next to little pond by our house that we like to walk by on our evening strolls. His second clue sent him to Katie and Lindsay's house.

Eric reading his first clue at the pond.

Knock Knock....
At Katie and Lindsay's place

These two girls felt like they were missing out on the fun so they created SEVEN of their own clues and hid them around their house. Very creative girls!

Clue 3 led him back to my parent's house where Mom had laid out a "road" of yellow note cards to make a yellow brick road. At the end of the yellow brick road were the cake cutters we used at our wedding. He didn't know why he needed the cake cutters but he took them anyway. Back home is where clue #4 took us. Once we got there this is what awaited us.

Clue 4 took us back home where he was surprised with a little wedding cake topper. Our evening ended with us enjoying wedding cake just as we had done 2 years ago. 70 more years to go!

Meet Baby Allison

She is here and we know the name!! Her name is Allison! I am such a proud aunt and sister today! Kristin did great and Allison is beautiful! She is so little and wide eyed. I couldn't help but be teary. I have never had the privilege of being at the hospital as a new life has come into the this earth. I had to leave school early today so I could make sure I got to see Kristin and Frank before all of the action started.

Sweet hands!

Little One

The newest parents!

We wanted to see her little body we unwrapped her a little bit.

This was right after her first bath. She fussed some but fell asleep very quickly under the warm heat lights above her. Isn't she precious??!

I know that Eric is sad that he can't be here today. He is in North Carolina doing and install and going to Josh's wedding Saturday.

New Grandparents!
