A 29th Birthday Celebration (a second time)

Yes this is my 2nd time to celebrate my 29th birthday. Just two years ago we celebrated the big 2-9 early since my mom always thinks I am turning older than I actually am. See the blog post

Blog from Birthday 2007

Eric surprised me by borrowing the Interstate limo. He had decorated the inside with streamers, balloons, noise makers, beads, sparkling grape juice with champagne flutes and a special birthday crown! Kelly and Kristin secretly stumbled across some old CDs I had in high school and college and made an ol' school mix CD especially for the drive! The limo was complete with green mood lights to match its loud exterior. Eric was our personal chauffeur! Everyone was so impressed by his driving abilities! We cruised over to Gloria's for some Mexican food and fun on the patio. We arrived there with the windows down and music blaring. Everyone on the Gloria's patio turned to see the celebrities disembark from the limo. One of the most special gifts of the night was a card from Drew. It was decorated with various Dinsey stickers and appeared to be written by him. He has also included a picture of himself with his paci.

Mom and Dad were nice enough to watch Allison and Drew all evening. They are always eager and willing to help out any way they can. I love you Mom and Dad! We had a wonderful evening and so much fun! This will always be a night to remember.

Baby and Mama Talkin'

Drew and I have time throughout the day where we just talk to each other. His favorite sounds right now are "woo, goo and agoo". He loves to copy the sounds that I make and I copy the sounds he makes. He is cute how he is becoming more responsive and smiling more. For all of you who have been asking, he is at 13 lbs now!

A Visit to the Sunshine State

That's right, we just got back from Florida hanging out at a beach condo with Danny, Susan, Emily, Bill and little KK. We had a great time and Drew did wonderful. This trip served to be many firsts for us. It was the first time to travel and fly with Drew. It was the first time for Emily, Bill and KK to meet our little guy and it was our first beach trip as a new family of three!

Danny and Susan loved getting a chance to see Drew again and were nice enough to frequently volunteer to watch him for us if we needed a walk on the beach or to run out for a little bit. What are grandparents for?! KK loved little Drew and enjoyed helping out with him in any way she could. She was eager to pick out his clothes for the day, help change diapers and give baths. I think the cousin relationship between her and Drew she is still a little cloudy on since she told our waitress that he was her little brother. ;)

Most of our days were spent very laid back. The boys were early to rise to see the sun coming up over the water each morning and we often didn't make it out of the condo until around noon. We spent the majority of the day hopping between the beach and the pool. Shark teeth were also of great interest this trip. I think around 80 of them were found while combing the sand on the expansive beach. Danny also got Drew a little "tadpole pool" that he used for sleeping and floating while we were outside.

Despite our returning flight being delayed 7 hours and taking a layover through Miami with an infant, our trip was great!

Hullabaloo Fil-A, Fil-A

So our family busted out and dusted off all of our A&M garb today in the name of free Chick-fil-a sandwiches. Eric and Frank planned on hitting every Chick-fil-a from our house to the Stonebriar mall in order to get their fill of free sandwiches. Drew was also excited about getting his very own meal too so he put on his custom A&M onesie that Aunt Susan had given to him proudly displaying "Drew 31" since he will be class of 2031. His outfit was complete with aTm booties. In all our family scored seven sandwiches out of the promotion and a few family pictures!
